In addition to being an attorney, Jerry is also a licensed clinical social worker. He takes a very different approach to the practice of family law. Jerry seeks to help his clients see the big picture during moments of crisis. He takes the time with his clients to understand what's important to them during these times. Divorce and custody cases can be very adversarial. Winning often means that it's the children who lose. Jerry works with his clients to do what is necessary to protect their children and their families. 

Before his work in the legal world, Jerry worked as a family therapist and social worker with DHR. He has the experience and knowledge to assist his clients who are involved with "the system." Jerry understands that frequently clients do not know the rights that they have when DHR is in the picture. He believes that we are all more than our biggest mistake. Jerry helps his clients overcome the issues that brought DHR into their home. 

Jerry is a lifelong resident of Cullman and a graduate of Hanceville High School. He takes pride in helping families in his community and nearby communities.
